Turkeys in Cades Cove at Great Smoky Mountain National Park

Turkeys in Cades Cove

“I wish the bald eagle had not been chosen as the representative of our country; he is a bird of bad moral character; like those among men who live by sharking and robbing, he is generally poor, and often very lousy. The turkey is a much more respecta”- Benjamin Franklin

Another great trip to the Smoky's.   I wish I could have spent more time,  but I hope to go back soon.   The deer were in velvet, bears were active, large groups of turkeys, and lots of wildflowers.   I only wish I was close enough to visit everyday.

I'll be up there in a few weeks. Hope the bears are still active and it's not too hot!
