Gregorys Bald - Great Smoky Mountain National Park

Come Fairies, take me out of this dull world, for I would ride with you upon the wind and dance upon the mountains like a flame! -William Butler Yeats

Visiting Gregory's Bald in June used to be a tradition of mine and is one I hope to start again.  The Flaming Azalea, a hybrid, blooms on Gregorys Bald in late June.   The valley below in the distance is Cades Cove.

I'll be visiting July 14-15 ... I hope the azalea's are still in bloom.

The place is so serene and so beautiful. I would like to visit this place one day..if I will be given the chance. It will surely be loved by other outdoor enthusiasts too. :)
