Being offgrid it is important that I keep an eye on my electrical demands. While I have been very satisfied with my system, I don't want to start taking for granted my energy usage. My stereo, dvd player, and television have lights that stay on even when the power is off. I ran across an item today that I think is going to help my situation. I went with this remote control surge protector because it offers surge protection for cable (or in my case an antenna). This particular unit also has two outlets that do not turn off with the rest. It seemed to have very good reviews so I am anxious to give it a try. I will followup when I have received it and had a chance to test it.
